Fitness Schedule (effective March 22 - May 31, 2010)
The YMCA’s approach to exercise is to focus on the wellness of the whole person in spirit, mind and body. Members of the Y enjoy fully equipped wellness centers with cardio and strength training equipment; certified professional trainers; and their choice of a wide range of wellness programs. Exercise your Spirit, Mind and Body at the YMCA!
OLDER YOUTH STRENGTH TRAINING ORIENTATION
Youth, ages 12-15, will learn the proper way to use the equipment in the wellness center. Completion of training certification and minimum height recommendations must be met to use the Wellness Center with parent supervision.
Format: 1 hr training
Fees: $10 (non-refundable)
Pre-Registration: Required and available at the Welcome Center
PERSONAL TRAINING
One-on-one, individualized workout tailored to your needs and goals by a certified personal trainer. The YMCA offers Personal Training packages at varying prices. Visit the Welcome Center for more details.
BODY COMPOSITION TESTING
Skin fold calipers are used to measure body fat. Appointments available at the Welcome Center. Fee: $10.00

PERSONAL TRAINING

Leo Beaulieu: Specializes in endurance sports, strength training and weight management
Nikki Hughes: Specializes in women’s fitness through cardio exercise and muscular tone
Jenna Jones: Specializes in weight management, group training and post-rehab populations
Eric Johnson: Specializes in endurance sports and strength training. Eric has over 12 years of martial arts and group training experience.
FITNESS ORIENTATIONS

-- Weight Room Orientation: Ages 16 - Adult
This one-on-one orientation is a great way for members to learn proper use of equipment.
-- Aerobics Orientation: Ages 13 - Adult
An aerobics instructor will meet with you, one-on-one to teach basic moves and terminology of most fitness classes.
-- Indoor Cycling Orientation: Ages 13 - Adult
Cycling posture, positions and technique are the focus of this orientation. After orientation completion, members may have access to cycling room outside of regularly scheduled classes.
Y PERSONAL FITNESS
Free, Facility Member Benefit
Designed specifically for members who are new to exercise or have difficulty exercising consistently. Member meets 4 times with a Fitness Coach over 12 weeks. Members receive direction and encouragement through their journey.
Y Personal Fitness will help you learn to:

See the connection between short term goals and long term physiological changes
Commit to a manageable program
Identify barriers that pull us away from exercise
Shape your workouts around the activities that you prefer
